Solveig and Mac got married amongst the flowers and trees at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum! You couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day for these two, and it was such an honor to capture Solveig and Mac at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum and the Pique Event Center with everyone they love and admire. 

One of my favorite parts of the day was witnessing Solveig’s grandfather marry Solveig and Mac in the most fairytale-like garden at the Home Demonstration Center of the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. I loved how their ceremony felt true to them, full of laughter and tears in an intimate setting. And from a photography standpoint, I was naturally obsessed with the light pouring through the trees. 😉 You couldn’t have planned a more beautiful ceremony!

After the ceremony, we all made our way to Pique Event Center in Excelsior, MN. Here the party started! After dinner, the maid of honor, best man, and parents shared some touching and hilarious speeches. Mac’s mom even pulled out a surprise with an impromptu photo PowerPoint slide during her speech. The room was full of belly laughter and it was a treat to be able to capture those moments. 

Solveig and Mac put their heart and soul into their wedding day and I loved seeing how their personalities shown through the details as you’ll see in the photos below. Mac wore a kilt on the wedding day, as tradition in his family, they had a Danish cake for dessert, and even had a funny song play during the recessional! Solveig and Mac shared such a special day and it was an honor to photograph these memories for them.
