Hewing Hotel Engagement Session

Hewing Hotel is the perfect spot to take engagement photos when it’s chilly season outside! It was such so much fun meeting Rachel and Jordan to take these photos. These two traveled in from Arizona to spend time with family in the Twin Cities for the holidays and we explored Minneapolis and ended the session with a few drinks at Hewing Hotel. 

Rachel and Jordan just glow when they are around each other and I could see it while we were taking these engagement photos. They radiate such positive energy around one another and I loved being able to capture that for these two. It was special to be able to capture the gentle way Rachel and Jordan look at each other and the way their smiles light up. Not only that, these two were up for exploring the North Loop area of Minneapolis, and I’m so glad we did!

Minneapolis was giving us New York City vibes for this session, everything from our walks to the Hewing Hotel itself! There is something special about being in the city around the holidays—it’s cozy, warm, and inviting. The hustle of the city in the background with Rachel and Jordan embracing the quiet moments together made for such a unique session. Maybe I’ve seen too many holiday romance movies in New York City, but I loved how this session embraced love in the city. 

It was an honor taking these photos for Rachel and Jordan. We started at a rooftop in Minneapolis, meandered the busy streets, and then took a few photos inside the Hewing Hotel. I loved how Rachel and Jordan were excited to be creative with this session! It’s not every day you get to order drinks at the bar and take professional photos. I’m so excited to see these two again on their wedding day. Congratulations Rachel and Jordan!
