Nati and Sean got married at Aster Cafe in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Family and friends gathered from the USA and Colombia to celebrate Nati and Sean’s union, as they shared their “I do’s” during their intimate ceremony.
This day was very special to Nati and Sean as they had been waiting a long time. It was touching to hear their story and to see how far they have come! Sean spent some time living abroad in Bogotá, Colombia where he met Nati. The two of them have had many different seasons in their relationship, from living in Bogotá, traveling the world, and experiencing a long-distance relationship to living in Minneapolis today. They have not let borders get in the way and have even embraced every pesky immigration step process to be together here in Minnesota!
For those who are unfamiliar with visa applications, they are never an easy process. It’s slow. It’s tedious. It’s nerve-racking. And it makes you feel powerless in the big system. When you’re in love, it’s all the more agonizing, as you and your significant other wait patiently across the world. But Nati and Sean did it! They have taken each step with stride as they start this new chapter together.
Nati and Sean shared an intimate ceremony at Aster Cafe with a view of the city across the river. I loved witnessing how thoughtful Nati and Sean were with their wedding. The ceremony was in English with Spanish translations so everyone could be a part of it and celebrate. After the ceremony, everyone enjoyed cocktail hour in the romantic setting of Aster Cafe before the rest of the evening’s activities. It was a perfect way to celebrate Nati and Sean’s marriage!
