Edgy, moody, and a dash of wind makes your urban photoshoot dreams come true! Especially downtown Minneapolis at The Foshay Tower Observation Deck!
I met Allie last year in the summer of 2021 by connecting with the photography community online. Since then, we’ve become friends and have even worked together! It was a true treat to be able to share these images with her. Allie has been a mentor to me in many ways as I moved back to Minnesota and entered the wedding industry as a photographer. Our conversations often focus on goals, business, creativity. . . you name it! I just love how friendships can form from a simple Facebook message—I encourage everyone to take the leap and make new friends through online communities, you never know how impactful they can be!
Planning a Foshay Tower photo shoot was a dream come true for this architecture lover! We started the shoot by playing tourist and made our way to the 32nd floor of the Foshay Tower to walk around the museum and observation deck. It was interesting to learn about Wilbur Foshay and the history of his tower. Did you know the Foshay Tower was designed to resemble the Washington Monument? Neat!
After walking around the museum we made our way to the observation deck to enjoy the view and started taking photos. It gets cold and windy pretty quickly on the 32nd floor! But Allie and John were up for the challenge and we had a blast being creative. After the observation deck, we made our way to a nearby parking ramp and finished off the photo shoot with a stellar view of the city.
Are you dreaming of a Foshay Tower photoshoot? Minneapolis, St. Paul, Chicago, Cedar Rapids, and Des Moines are some of my personal favorites uban places across the Midwest. Contact me here and I would love to discuss your vision with you.
