Every great modern love story starts with an online dating profile! Ok, maybe not every single love story…but these days, it’s more common than not. And that’s how these two cuties met!
Lea Ann and I are college friends from our studying days at Coe College in Cedar Rapids, IA, and back then, we used to be inseparable! Wherever Lea Ann was, I was, and wherever I was, Lea Ann was! Coe College is a smaller school, and it almost seemed like everyone knew each other, so it quickly turned into a joke that whenever someone wanted to hang out with one of us, the other would almost always be there. We were a pair! Or, as Lea Ann and I call ourselves, Twins!
Since then, Lea Ann and I have stayed in touch whenever we can. We often send each other WhatsApp voice messages, try to video call, and visit one other when it’s possible. With that said, you can bet she told me about her dates with Arjun at the beginning of their relationship!
After hearing many starry-eyed stories about her new man, I was excited to meet Arjun myself! Lea Ann and Arjun traveled from Chicago to Minneapolis for a long weekend, and we had so much fun walking Stone Arch Bridge, checking out the Minneapolis Farmer’s Market, going out to Loring club for some Latin dancing, playing Skyline Mini-Golf at the Walk Art Center, and making our way to St. Paul for a photoshoot. I could tell quickly that Arjun brought this warm, welcoming composure into Lea Ann’s life—a quality that every friend wishes to see when their BFF introduces their significant other to you.
I always have a goal in mind for every single photoshoot. Knowing that Lea Ann and I both have art backgrounds, I wanted to make sure to amp up the artistic playfulness during this photoshoot in Rice Park and at the Cathedral of St. Paul. One of my favorite things to photograph is architecture and cityscapes, so I made sure we captured their love in front of some of the best architecture in Minnesota. These two were excited to dress their best and have some fun in front of the camera! Scroll all the way at the bottom of the blog to see a cute little moment captured between poses of the two of them giggling. Thank you Lea Ann and Arjun for doing this with me, it was a blast!
